Pogocat: Top Tips, Walkthrough, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Pogocat is a supremely difficult new endless app for the iOS and Android platforms where your goal is to pogo as far as possible, but the physics are so tough that they make Flappy Bird look easy. You can earn coins, unlock new outfit items for your cats, and compete against other players for the title of best pogoer. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pogocat!

On the first bounce, lean slightly forward. After that, you’re going to have forward momentum, so lean slightly backward from center instead of foreward. If you even lean a little bit forward, your momentum will carry you straight into the ground. Lean back just a tiny bit, against your momentum, enough to keep your speed steady.

Also, watch out for tilted ground, which appears early on in the form of the ramp off of the dock, but once you start coming across rocks, it becomes frequent and unpredictable. They can not only affect the angle and length of your jump, but the height of your jump as well, as they can send you flying off the rock and far above the ground.

Try to do tricks on the pogo, both to relieve boredom and for actual reward purposes. The first time that you do a flip, an x1 will appear next to the distance. The second time in a row that you do a flip, an x2 will appear next to the distance, and then the number will continue to increase as you keep doing more flips. Once you break the flipping streak, the multiplier will come to an end.

The first time that you do a flip, you’ll earn ten coins as a reward for it. To earn more coins, look for them on the stage and collect them whenever you see them. Once you collect them, you won’t earn them right away. You have to watch an ad video, and then they will appear in your coin collection and you will be able to see them.

If you want to go backwards, you can. From the beginning, go to the left instead of right and you’ll find a hidden area. There won’t be any coins or points here, so it’s a bit useless for anything except exploring. It is fun, though, to see how far you can get into the backwards levels, and to see what you can discover – for example, a rolling yarn ball is at the beginning of the backwards level.
