Purple Diver: Walkthrough, Cheats, Tips, and Strategy Guide

By | 20190424

Purple Diver is a new game by Voodoo where you play as a diver whose goal is to do the deepest, cleanest drive possible, as well as to dive into a duck float. You can earn cash, points, and more for doing so.

You can even unlock new divers as you go further and further into the levels. Read on for some tips and tricks for Purple Diver!

When you’re on the diving board itself, tap and hold on the screen longer when you want to get to the far side of the pool. Tap and hold for a shorter time if you want to end up on the side of the pool that’s closer to the diving board. The longer you hold, the farther you jump, but don’t accidentally jump outside of the pool.

After you jump, hold down on the screen to start flipping and let go of the screen to stop flipping. The timing of when you should let go depends on the height of the diving board. You’ll jump off of the same four or so diving board heights, so the timing simply requires practice.

Each level has its own quest to complete, so all that you have to do is complete the mission for said level. So if you have to jump through a duck, you can either dive or belly flop. If you have to jump a certain depth, then you should dive cleanly, but the duck doesn’t matter.

However, no matter what your level’s mission is, you should try to jump through the duck anyways. When you jump through the duck, you’ll earn more cash for your dive.

You also earn more cash for a dive depending on how far you dive, first off. Also, you earn more cash for a cleaner dive; of course, the cleaner that your dive is, the further down that you’ll go, so they go hand in hand together.

The cash can’t be spent immediately, but as you go from level to level, you’ll unlock more and more divers that you can purchase. Your first two unlocks are opened up at level 15 and level 30. As the developers add more updates to the game, expect more and more new divers to be added, as well.

The ads can be a bit much sometimes, but there are ways to get rid of them. Of course, the primary method is to buy the ad-free mode to get rid of all of the ads forever, but to still leave the options open for any video offers that are added to the game. You can also set your phone or tablet to airplane mode, but this also knocks out any voluntary ads, too.

About Evan Heisenberg

Evan Heisenberg named himself after a Breaking Bad character one time, and then got stuck with it. He’s a San Diego guy living in Tacoma, so he legitimately enjoys the cliche “long walks on the beach.” Aside from writing about mobile games, Evan is an aircraft hydraulic maintainer and maintenance instructor. He likes weightlifting, beer, dad jokes, the Padres and Chargers, and slightly-old luxury and exotic cars.
