Row Row is a new iOS and Android game where your goal is to paddle your kayak down a river to the finish line as quickly as possible. You can earn up to three stars per level depending on your time, and make it to a nearly endless array of levels. Building speed is the most important skill in this game, and you can’t build speed without consistent paddling. Don’t paddle slowly or gradually; paddle quickly. The quicker that you paddle, the more speed that you build, so you’ll be tapping rapidly in the pursuit of a quicker time.

Turning, of course, is another art form, and is done by tapping either to the left or the right (whatever direction you want to turn) and then leaving the paddle in place while the nose of the kayak turns. Once the nose is pointing where you want it to go, then start paddling rapidly to get the kayak moving in the direction that the nose is pointing. If you don’t paddle then the kayak won’t move in a different direction, it will just point one way while moving the other way.

Coins are fairly easy to come by in this game. One way of earning coins is picking them up within stages themselves, but the best way to earn coins is to go to the kayak shop, go to any kayak that you don’t own, and tap the “+20” button. As long as you have an internet connection, an ad video will play, and you can watch as many of them to earn as many coins as you want as long as you have a connection.

Use those coins to unlock new forms of kayaks including a log, a banana, a raft, and more. The performance is mostly the same, but some of them turn a little faster, and the smaller ones are less likely to get stuck, whereas the larger ones are more likely to get stuck. Smaller ones can help you fit into smaller spaces, giving you more options on routes to take to beat a level.

If you need to get more stars in order to break down the gate to the next area, start with the oldest level that you have yet to three-star. The older the level, the easier it is to master (at least for awhile), so it should be easiest to go to the oldest one- to two-star level and work your way up from there.
