Try to get the rarest gear possible before you start forging your gear. You have to spend a lot of upgrade materials once you begin forging, so be careful not to spend it all too quickly on a common item or you won’t have enough left once you get a rare or super rare piece of equipment. The rarer the equipment that you forge, the more of an effect it will have and the higher the chance that you’ll stick with that particular item for a long time, making it safer to forge.

You can choose to do the auto-battle mode or you can stick with the manual fighting for as long as you want. The auto-battle will work for 95% of all battles that you do, but once you get to the really tough battles, you will want to switch to manual mode so that you can strategize and use the art of avoidance to keep yourself from getting hit by enemy attacks. Drag out the battle if you need to; don’t get too aggressive in boss fights. Focus on not getting hit instead.
