Swing Copters – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Swing Copters is Dong Nguyen and dotgears’ new follow-up to Flappy Bird, and after playing this game you’ll be WISHING for Flappy back because compared to this one, that game was easy. Your goal is to navigate some dude with a propeller hat through a series of gates with hammers swinging back and forth in between them, and to go for as long as you can doing just that. The inertia added to the game makes it even tougher. Read on for some tips and tricks for Swing Copters!

Tapping on the screen changes your direction – if you are going right, it switches you left, and vice versa. There’s a delay in turning though – think of it like slaloming or ice skating. To make it MUCH easier to time your taps and turns, play a trick on your own brain by tapping with your left thumb for left turns and your right thumb for right turns. It will feel FAR more intuitive this way.

Do this for awhile and you will find your point total slowly inching upward, from 1, 2, 3 etc. Dong himself only got 8 points on his own game but within maybe an hour or two you’ll start to beat him. For a brain challenge after you learn the two-thumb method, go back to using one thumb for awhile. Then go back to using two thumbs and it will seem way easier.

Don’t tap rapidly or you’ll lose control of your helicopter guy. Tap to a rhythm, such as 200 BPM, and practice staying in a straight line. Then practice shifting to the side and immediately recovering in a straight line. Keep it up and it will feel easy after awhile.

Frustration may make you want to throw your phone or tablet. Instead, take a break and play something easier or just play this one every once in awhile. After a long break following a period of frustration, the game will seem FAR easier and not as frustrating. Once you get frustrated again, take another break. Repeat as needed.

10 points gets you a bronze medal. 20 points earns you a silver medal. 30 points will get you a gold medal. 40 points will get you (aside from immortal status) a platinum medal. Once you get all four of these medals, you’ll unlock some new characters.
