Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run is the latest paid app gone free for the iOS and Android platforms, just in time for the upcoming TMNT movie to boot. Your goal in this game is to go as far as you can while knocking off as many Foot Clan soldiers as you can, collecting coins, and unlocking all kinds of brand new characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run!

You run out of energy with every step you take, and you’ll lose more energy when you hit objects or you run into Foot soldiers. Collect the green energy orbs in order to gain more energy. If you want to avoid losing energy from the foot soldiers, tap the screen as soon as the target appears over them, because this means that your character is aiming at them and when you tap, they’ll attack. Consequently, this is also how you earn coins.

Turtle Time on the rooftop occurs when you go up close, and you have to tap the targets that pop up as quickly as you can. Use multiple fingers for this one in order to tap the targets while they are still in the green, before they go down to the yellow, orange or red (which will drop your turtle time rating). Tap them all in the green to earn a perfect or a great rating. The faster the better.

You have three different separate challenges to complete at any one time, and when you complete them, you’ll earn a sizable reward, so complete these as a matter of first priority. Once you finish the three given to you, three more challenges will appear.

Once you hit the streets, the view changes to a 3D instead of a 2D run, and survival becomes much tougher because you can’t jump. Try to go off of every ramp that you can unless you absolutely have to avoid a ramp in order to collect more energy. Swipe back and forth even in midair to avoid obstacles and foot soldiers, and when foot soldiers jump on you, shake them off by swiping from side to side until they fly off.

Each character plays the same way, but they have different boosts and different amounts of energy. For example, April O’Neal will allow you to climb out of pits more easily, and has boosts to increase even that ability. The turtles each have their own, and of course, Dogpound is going to be the one with the most energy and highest defense.
