The Battle Cats is a completely bizarre newish tower defense game for the iOS and Android. While it has been out in Japan since 2013, Battle Cats has never been translated to English until now. Think a cross between Alpaca Evolution and your traditional Tower Defense style games with this oddball, as you quest throughout the world, defeating cat armies from country after country. Cats aren’t strong enough? Save up your experience points so that you can upgrade them, as with each upgrade, their attack and defense increases. The game doesn’t tell you by how much, but you’ll be able to tell because each specific battle will go by faster.
You can also purchase more cats – having as many cats equipped as possible allows you to flood the enemy with cats. You need cents in order to summon cats and cents increase as the battle goes. Upgrade the cents generator in the lower-left-hand corner of the screen to make cents appear faster.
Let the cat cannon charge and then when it is finished, unleash it and it will hit every cat that’s behind the pink dotted line. From the upgrade menu you can increase its range in exchange for experience points, as well as the damage it does and the speed that it charges at.
Wanna get more XP (oddly enough this is the main currency of the game)? Upgrade the Cat Study and you’ll earn more when you beat a level. If you are stuck, go back to an old level that you have already beaten, and then beat it again, and do this over and over until you run out of energy, then use your XP to purchase all kinds of upgrades.
You need Cat Energy in order to continue fighting, and like everything else you can upgrade that to increase the maximum. Or, you can set the time ahead on your phone or tablet in order to get more cat energy right away. Do this as often as you want to, and it’s completely free.
Cat Food is the premium currency, and it allows you to buy blessings from God after you unlock him in the Special Cats column. If you want to get more Cat Food for free, go to the in app purchase store and hit the button that says Gratis Cat Food. Then an offer wall from Tapjoy will pop up, and you can complete as many offers as you please, most of which are free.
