The Boxtrolls Slide ‘n Sneak is a new mission based running game based on, of course, the new Boxtrolls movie. Your goal in this game is to make it from stage to stage, finishing and unlocking the next one, collecting cogs and trying to get three stars on each stage. For any of these stages, you have a certain variety of obstacles. Any enemy with a red hat or otherwise, the way to get past them is to jump on them. Otherwise, jump over what you can and slide under what you can’t clear. To speed up any stage, slide downhill and jump uphill and you’ll move faster.
Cogs are the currency in the game, and they are collected within the stages themselves. If you are farming for cogs. go through a stage that you have beaten before, one that you tend to collect a lot of cogs on, and play it over and over .The easier to beat, the better it is for farming.
Save up the cogs (and the cheese, for that matter) and you can purchase all kinds of new boxtrolls in the store.The two that you can choose from in the beginning of the game have no perks; however, the ones in the store have their own kinds of perks, different ones for every boxtroll, such as magnetism that attracts cogs, or allowing you to smash barrels.
Practice makes perfect on any stage where you’re having trouble earning three stars. Hold the screen for a shorter time to do a shorter jump, and for a longer time to do a longer jump. Time your jumps to collect as many cogs as possible as the more you collect, the more stars you earn.

Most of your unlocks, through, will happen simply by playing through the game. Don’t worry about three-starring everything until after you’ve played through as many stages as you possibly can and have at least one-starred them. Only go back for three-star scores when you need them in order to unlock a stage and are stuck until you do said unlock.
