The Sims Social for Facebook: Guide to Earning Simoleons, Experience Points and Gaining Levels

The Sims Social is, as you know if you are reading this, the most popular version of The Sims of all time, due to its status as a free game. With almost 30 million monthly players, it has become the biggest Facebook game ever not released by Zynga. Now, on to the tips on getting rich quickly, earning experience points like crazy, and gaining levels rapidly.

First for the simoleons, or as we know it, The Sims Social’s form of money. In The Sims Social, simoleans are made a few ways: Doing household chores, and practicing your talents (E.G. composing on the guitar, or catering a meal). Getting inspired (which is done by fulfilling all of your sim’s needs until they are all dark green) earns you more bonus money. You also make more simoleons by doing household projects such as cutting weeds, repairing broken things or watering your plants. Lastly, farming is one of the best ways to make simoleons.

You should always have plants growing in your garden plots, since these are the best way to earn more simoleons. Gardening and growing plants earns you more simoleons per energy point than anything else you can do.

If you want to earn simoleons quickly without having to worry about taking full care of your sims’ needs in order to get inspired, cutting weeds is your best bet. You earn around 20 simoleons for cutting each weed or removing mushrooms or rocks, and often, when you do this, you’ll earn bonus energy, which basically earns you free money because you can spend your bonus energy on more weed-cutting.

If you want to earn more simoleons without gaining levels very quickly, water your bushes and you’ll earn 20 simoleons for each time you water them.

If you run out of new skills to unlock on each of your hobbies, due to not having enough items to unlock a certain skill, simply get inspired and start doing the most lucrative thing that you have already unlocked. This won’t get you any further towards unlocking new skills, but it will certainly help you earn simoleons quickly.

As for gaining experience points, cutting weeds, practicing your skills, and a few other things will earn you 10 experience points per use. There are some easy ways to get free experience points, however. This requires you to go to your friends’ houses, but for each friend you visit per day, you’ll have 5 bonus energy points that won’t count against your main energy bar. Use all 5 of the bonus energy points to rummage through your friend’s trash cans. Your sim won’t get bored of doing that, and you will gain 10 experience points each time you rummage through a friend’s trash can.

About Evan Heisenberg

Evan Heisenberg named himself after a Breaking Bad character one time, and then got stuck with it. He’s a San Diego guy living in Tacoma, so he legitimately enjoys the cliche “long walks on the beach.” Aside from writing about mobile games, Evan is an aircraft hydraulic maintainer and maintenance instructor. He likes weightlifting, beer, dad jokes, the Padres and Chargers, and slightly-old luxury and exotic cars.
