Totes the Goat – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Totes the Goat is a new iOS game that puts a Crossy Road-style spin in the Q*Bert formula. Your goal is to go for as long as you can in an endless range of levels, hopping on every tile that you can, and collecting coins so that you can purchase new characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Totes the Goat!

There is no time limit to any of the levels, so take it slow when you are making your way across all of the tiles in a stage. Your biggest obstacle is the enemies that randomly hop all over the place. Wait for a bit and you can observe their patterns and jump right past them. Most of the time, they will end up jumping off of the end of the side of the level anyways.

Collect as many coins as you can. You can do this by picking up coins in the levels themselves. These are not worth all that much, but if you purchase the character Max, you get a free coin multiplier for life. You also get free gifts that are worth around 25-50 coins apiece usually, and then you can hit the “earn coins” button after a level ends to watch a video for 10-20 free coins.

You can spend 25 coins after a round ends in order to keep the round going. Don’t bother with this unless you have gone far enough to be close to your high score, but if you are almost there, this one little purchase can often push you over the edge. You can only do this once per game.

Once you have 100 coins you can get a random new character. Each character has the same characteristics as every other character as far as gameplay goes; they just give you a different look. There are no gameplay changes that go with any of the new characters other than Max, the one who gives you more coins.

As you get further along into a round, the obstacles will begin to change a bit. Enemies will move faster, and often they will hop farther, skipping one or two squares. They will also last longer before jumping off the side of the stage. Plus, spikes and other nasties will appear that will end your run if you hit them.
