Versus Run is a new Ketchapp game where you run in between pathways in order to escape from your rival. The longer that you go, the faster that your rival goes, so you have to be fast so that they don’t catch up with you. Tap as quickly as you can in order to get as far away from your rival as you can. Keep your taps measured as there is only so far away that they can be from you, though. Your rival will never go off of the bottom of the screen, so if you tap too quickly, they will jump just as quickly to stay at the bottom of the screen.
You can collect gems as you tap, and once you earn the right number of gems, you will have enough for a new combination of characters. After random rounds, you will be able to watch a free video to earn 25 gems. These videos tend to appear more after you get a high score, and tend to almost never appear if you get a low score.
You can get two extra combinations of characters for free though. Go to the character store to find them. Putin vs Obama can be unlocked by following the game on Twitter. Trump vs Clinton can be earned by liking the game on Facebook. Once you do either one of these tasks, you’ll automatically unlock the characters.
Watch out for moving surfaces when you jump. These can get tricky, so be sure to time them and to not jump so quickly that you accidentally end up caught in a trap thanks to one of these moving surfaces. The farther that you go in the game, the more of these surfaces there are, and the more likely that they are to get in the way.
Collect the red lightning bolt whenever you see it. This will give you a free jolt upward for about 25 points, without you having to actually do anything during that time. However, if you are questing for gems, avoid these, as they put you in the path to earn gems. They do set you up with all kinds of free points, though.
