To start, you’ll only be able to do single-player mode. Use this to hone your drifting skills. Accelerate to get the speed that you need to launch a good drift, but before you hit the turn, use the handbrake to kick out the rear end and start the drift.

Stay on the handbrake to get a steep angle, so that you can get a higher score, but don’t make the angle too steep or you’ll spin out your car in the middle of the drift.

However, spinning your car surprisingly is not the worst thing in the world. Your goal is to get the highest score throughout the whole level, and your score is based off of your overall drifts, which are judged by angle and speed, primarily.

If you spin your car, you’ll at least get a lot of points before you lose your drift. If you get a thin angle, though, you won’t end up scoring too many points.

You can buy new cars, but more importantly, you can spend even less silver for even more effect on upgrading your current car. Hit the tuning area and you can buy new tunes to increase the stats on your car.

You’ll also be able to change your stance, your tire width, and your rim diameter. The best setting on these depends on the individual preferences of the player, so test various configurations to figure out which works best for you.

Hit the settings area and you’ll be able to modify the game in a huge number of ways. In addition to the usual options to turn off the sound, you can change the control sensitivity and the viewing angles, as well as other stuff.

You can turn off the steering assist, change the sensitivity and linearity, turn on the clutch usage which adds a whole other gameplay dimension, and more.

Your style also factors into how many points you earn with each drift. When you change directions, do so gently and consistently, rather than jerking your car in one direction or the other.

Tap on the handbrake as needed in order to keep your drift angle consistent, but don’t hold your finger down on the handbrake. Stay as close to the drift line as possible. You’ll score far more points this way.
