Once the beginner protection is off, one of the easiest ways to secure large amounts of resources for free is to look for a castle that has been abandoned by a player who may have deleted the app. The castle will last until it has been completely decimated, so attack it every so often in order to raid resources, then give it some time to regenerate the goods (attack other abandoned castles while you are doing this) and repeat as often as you can.

Some of the most effective battling against other castles can be done after you either join an alliance, or form your own alliance and convince other kings to join it. Use your alliances to execute battle strategies, such as mass invasions of other castles, and then divvy up the goods as agreed upon by the alliance. Find out how an alliance is governed before you join it – some are democracies, while others are dictatorships.

To capture another castle, destroy all of their troops in battle, and send 1,000 silver over when you do battle. This is another thing that alliances are good for – pooling silver, and then capturing castles and taking them over. If you can get 1,000 silver yourself, and then send it over when attacking and defeating other kings, you can take over castles and get second, third, fourth etc. castles. Abandoned castles are excellent as takeover targets.

Upgrade your keep as often as possible in order to improve the exchange rates for silver and copper. Silver and copper can be VERY expensive with a base level keep, but you can cut the prices in half or even better depending on how often you upgrade the keep. Once it’s upgraded, load up on the copper and the silver so that you can go on more spy missions and take over more castles.
