When you’re pitching, pay attention to what strengths are listed for players as they come up to bat. For example, if a player is a pull hitter, pitch to the outside corner, and if they are a push hitter, push them inside.

Keep the pitches varied so the CPU doesn’t get used to a particular pitch, and work the highest letter-grade pitches against specific players (letter grades change based on who is hitting).

As a batter, make the pitcher throw as many pitches as possible in order to weaken them more quickly. This is especially important in league mode since you’ll play multiple games against the same team in a row, so that you can tire out the pitchers more quickly.

The faster you get to the relief pitchers, the better, especially when the starting pitcher is a superstar.

Even if your pitcher’s stamina is down, switch them out if they lose their effectiveness. The more times the opposing team bats around, the better they will do against that pitcher, so keep them guessing by swapping another pitcher in before your starter gets hammered too hard.

If you have too many players that you don’t need, send them to the auction block to try to get as much money as possible for them. Use the coins to then purchase more player packs, or to save up for more powerful players at auction. Don’t get rid of too many players, though; backups are good in case of injuries.

You can skip as much of a game as you want to by fast forwarding to a specific inning; just remember though, that the more innings you play, the bigger the coin prize you earn.

Your prize also goes up if you turn off auto-fielding and play the fielding positions yourself.
