How to play Spartan Wars for iOS and Android: FAQ and Beginner’s Guide

Spartan Wars is a very complicated game, and if you just begin playing the game without any guidance, it can be a bit of a process trying to figure out all of the details and other good stuff, so in this guide, we’ll attempt to give you a (fairly) brief overview of all of the basics that you need to start in the game. You can use this to either become a top city builder, an elite battler, or both. There’s even some ideas on how to use your alliances in here.

First of all, Spartan Wars: Elite Edition and Empire of Honor are the same game under two different names. The main difference is that if you play the game via Elite Edition, you can get a rare god card that you can’t get in Empire of Honor without spending a whole lot of pearls. More on that later.

As you begin, you start off in a completely empty city, but you can then build your resource buildings. Your resources are gold, food, wood and stone (which are shown counted at the top of the screen), and you can build one of each of your resource building (goldmine, farm, sawmill and stone quarry). You can have one of each, but you can upgrade each building many, many times.

With each upgrade, you will need slaves to work the buildings, and you can build two cottages to house the slaves. You need to manually add the slaves to each resource building each time you upgrade – your productivity will be 10 resources per hour per slave that’s employed.

Additional buildings that contribute towards the growth of your city include the arms center and the academy. In each of these buildings, you can research new technologies that will give you various boosts, from faster resource acquisition to increasing the speed of construction in the academy, to various military-related boosts in the arms center.
