Each animal has different characteristics regarding speed, strength, and what they do when you ride them too long and make them angry. For example, the buffalo is slow to anger, but slow to run, and will try to buck you off, causing it to change directions randomly. Elephants are lightning fast, can smash through any other animal, are somewhat quicker to anger, and will send you flying when you anger them.
Not only do animals make you money each time you do a cruise, but any animal that you have ridden and befriended can be chosen before a run. Just go to your zoo enclosure and tap the animal to pick them. Elephants are excellent to start the game with due to their speed and strength.
Your cruises are the main way to earn more coins, but if you aren’t going to have another cruise for awhile, smash through any crate you see while on your runs to earn about 5-10 coins from each crate. Or you can pay coins to start your cruise early. Just make sure that you are spending few enough coins that you can still make a hefty profit from your cruise.
Complete missions in order to earn coins as well, as well as to enable yourself to unlock a new area. To open a new area, go to the map screen and hit the “Explore + Expand” button and pay the necessary coins to unlock said area. Once you open up the new area, you will be able to earn more animals as well as run through a different zone.
Upgrade your zoo enclosures to earn more money each time that you do a cruise. Also, look for coins to randomly pop up in your zoo and tap them to earn free coins.
