Deer Hunter 2014: How to win without spending any money

Deer Hunter 2014 is the latest and greatest of the long running series of hunting games. Glu Games’ latest can get extremely difficult, making it very tempting to spend a little bit of money to forge ahead. It is a freemium game, meaning that you can download it for free but still buy premium items. You don’t have to buy anything in order to succeed, though – read on to find out how to win without spending any money in Deer Hunter 2014!

Missions start off very easy, but then as you progress forward, they get tougher and tougher. Your infrared is the best bet for finding the heart of any animal for a quest, but if you use it only sparingly, and shoot VERY quickly after you enable it. Immediately exit out of the scope or tap the infrared again, so that you don’t run out the battery, and don’t end up forced to buy new ones.

If you play the game right, you will never need to buy any gold to spend on better weapons and upgrades. Some weapons can ONLY be purchased with gold, but there are usually even better weapons that can be purchased with hunter bucks. Purchasing a rifle the next class up (for example, the Grantham Lightning while you are still in the Pacific Northwest) can be a huge help.

Every upgrade that you can buy can be purchased with hunter bucks. Gold can be used as an optional purchase, or to speed up the delivery, but they all only take 5 minutes to deliver, so just wait it out. Rack up coins by playing and winning the standard hunts and contract hunts as much as possible.

One of the BEST ways to rack up coins is to go to the trophy hunts and intentionally lose over and over again. Losing on a trophy hunt will earn more coins per hunt than winning any other hunt will earn you, so use this trick (especially on the last trophy hunt of a region) to earn a HUGE amount of coins, enabling you to buy the best weapons and upgrades rather quickly.

Going on club hunts usually requires a club hunt permit, but you get one free hunt per day, so wait it out or set your phone a day ahead to get a free hunt. Connect the game to Facebook, too, and you can get free club hunts.
