Gorilla Tag is a bizarre new game for the iOS and Android platforms. You play as one of two teams, with those two teams being either the normal gorillas or the lava gorillas.
If you play as the normal gorilla, then your goal is not to be attacked by the lava gorilla. If you play as the lava gorilla, then your goal is to make sure that there are no normal gorillas left on the screen before the timer runs out.

In this game, there is not one set strategy. The strategies differ greatly depending on whether you choose the normal gorilla team or the lava gorilla team. The strategies are different because the goals are different.
If you are playing as a lava gorilla, then you want to hang out in the areas that tend to be more narrow. This makes it easier to chase down the normal gorillas so that you can bite them and convert them into lava gorillas.
If you are playing as a normal gorilla, then your best bet is to stay in open areas where you have plenty of room to run away. Open areas along the edge of the map are best, because these tend to be areas where the lava gorillas don’t go.
If you are a lava gorilla, then you are at a bit of an advantage, because when you change a normal gorilla into a lava gorilla, there is no changing them back, and they will do the work for you. They will start chasing down the other normal gorillas on the map, trying to bite them and turn them into lava gorillas. You can also win the game before the timer even goes off.
If you play as a normal gorilla, then your only concern is for yourself, not for the other gorillas on the map. You also have to wait out the timer and it’s entirety; there is no way to win the game without running the entire timer out.
