Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Monster Maestro! This monster collecting card based RPG will have you collecting all kinds of monsters, from the common to the super rare, completing quests, battling against other players, fighting boss characters, and becoming the Monster Maestro (hence the name of the game). Read on for the beginner’s guide to Monster Maestro for the iPhone!

As you start the game off, the tutor, Elric will take you through what you need to do, beginning with quests. Quests are your bread and butter in the game, and are divided into chapters, each of which includes five levels. In each level you have either three or four different types of prizes that you can earn, most of which include common monsters, but some of which include treasure pieces.

At the end of each chapter of the quest is a boss. You’ll fight the boss with your lead monster, plus two of your friends’ monsters, so make sure that your most powerful monster is your lead monster. Once you beat a chapter, an entirely new chapter opens up to you that you can play.

When you are in the middle of a level, pressing the “tap” button, which causes you to progress through the level, will fill a progress bar, which starts at zero and goes all the way up to 100%. Each tap uses up energy, as well, while each bit of progress that you make through your quest uses experience points.

Whenever you fill the progress bar on one level, you earn a stat point. Stat points can be used to increase either your maximum energy, attack power, or defense power. You also earn 3 stat points each time that you level up, and 5 stat points each time that you add a friend in the game.

To add friends, click on the “menu” button in the lower right corner of the screen, in the task bar, and then find the “friends” tab and press it. Hit “search” to start hunting for friends, either by level or by a specific friend ID. You can only have a maximum of five friends at a time, to start with, but as you progress through the game and gain experience levels, you will be able to build a bigger friends list.
