This home run derby game is the official game of Buster Posey, and takes you from his beginnings in the backyard of a farm in southwest GA, all the way up to his journey to the major leagues. This guide will teach you how to go from backyard baseball player to major league superstar, and everything about the game that you will need to know in order to do so. Read on!

Buster Bash has a fairly simple method of gameplay. All that you do is start the game, open up to the main menu, and tap the Play button to begin playing. Once you do, you will have one stage available, which is the backyard in Leesburg, GA. You’ll gradually unlock the Toyota Youth Championship (stage 2), All-America Baseball (stage 3), College Playoffs (stage 4), and finally, the Big Leagues (stage 5).

To unlock a stage, you have to complete a set of objectives that are given before each round. These objectives include such tasks as hitting a certain number of homers in a row, scoring a certain number of points, or making contact a certain amount of times in a row. You will be able to complete these objectives over one play through, or over 100 play throughs. Once you complete an objective once, it stays complete forever.

Each level is progressively harder than the last. The length that you have to hit a ball stretches out each time. For example, in the backyard, you have to hit the ball over the barn, but in every subsequent stage, you have to hit the ball over the wall. To hit the ball, wait for the pitcher to throw it, and then swipe at the ball using your finger.

You can increase your contact patch by holding your finger down before the swipe, but whether you hit a home run or not depends on whether you hit the ball at the correct angle. The ideal angle should be to hit the ball straight on, and to swipe from left to right with a very slight upward arc. Swipe in the direction that you want the ball to go. The harder you swipe, the harder you can hit the ball, but the tougher it will be to make contact.
