As has been previously stated, there are a number of moves that you can do before you lose a round. If you finish around with a certain number of moves left, each leftover move will have one of two effects, depending on the stage. On some stages, each leftover move will turn a candy into a striped or wrapped candy, and once all of the leftover moves create special candies, the candies will have their effect one at a time, causing you to gain a massive amount of points when the stage is over.
The other effect is that a few candy fish will appear for each move that you have, which appear on the screen and start eating candy, again causing you to gain massive amounts of points. Oftentimes, both of these will also cause new combos to appear before the stage is over.
In between the two, there will be a Sugar Crush after the stage is finished, which means that every special piece left over on the stage will use itself up. If you have a lot of left over special pieces, this can be worth a large number of points, especially when they cause new combos to appear and be cleared off of the screen before the sugar crush is over.
You begin each stage with 5 hearts. If you lose a stage you lose a heart, and you have to wait half an hour for one heart to return. If you do not want to wait that long, you can either buy hearts or hope for a Facebook friend to send you a heart. You can send them hearts as well, in order to attempt to prompt them to do this.
There are a number of different boosters that you can buy before you play each stage, ranging from extra moves to a lollipop hammer, some of which go for only one single stage and some of which are good for every future game that you play. Since there is no currency system in the game, all of them require you to pay money in the app store.
That’s all for the beginner’s guide to Candy Crush Saga! Enjoy the game!
