Mr Gun (Ketchapp) – Ultimate Tips, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Mr Gun is a new game for the iOS and Android by Ketchapp where your goal is to shoot Atari-esque block characters with your gun. You can pick between one of many guns, shoot past bosses and their minions, and progress from level to level, knocking off criminals and warlords who stand in your way. You can earn coins and unlock a large variety of new guns, also. Read on for some tips and tricks for Mr Gun!

There are multiple ways to get more weapons in this game, and one of them is to earn more coins so that you can buy a random weapon. This only works for (as of this writing) the first page of the weapons list, though. You can unlock a new weapon for 250 coins. A quick way to get the coins is to watch video ads from within the weapons menu for 35 coins each, or to hit the social media interaction buttons on the second page of the gun store.

Each weapon performs completely differently. Your initial weapon, which is the USP-S is a pistol with accurate aiming that fires one shot and deals three damage points. Other weapons do something different; for example, the Evo-3 fires three shots at two damage points apiece (six total), which spray out a bit, but are mostly accurate, and have a shorter aiming line. Elite weapons will be more powerful, as will the rare weapons that you earn from the daily reward.

Headshots don’t make any sort of difference against the boss’s minions (except for scoring more points per shot), as each minion only has one hit point apiece. Practice them anyways, though, as they are very valuable once you start the battle against the boss. If you headshot a boss, then you do double the damage, which can significantly shorten the battle by allowing you to kill the boss more quickly.

However, the most important thing in every battle is simply to aim and hit your mark, even if it’s a foot shot. If you miss a shot, then the boss will shoot you, and you die instantly (unless you have the elite body armor). If you hit the boss, even if it’s just with one bullet out of many from a burst round, the boss will jump up to the next step and you’ll get a chance to shoot again.

As you progress from level to level, look out for new additional obstacles. If you’re shooting quickly, be sure to count the steps from you to the next minion so that you can better time the shot. The more steps, the longer you have to wait for the aiming line to go up, and the less steps, the shorter of a time that you have to wait, due to the decreased vertical distance between you and the enemy.
