RAID: Shadow Legends is a huge new mobile RPG for the iOS and Android platforms where you can collect hundreds of heroes, build a strong team, and use them to fight through tons of campaign levels, dungeons, and more.
You can even fight against other players in the arena battles. You can collect silver and gems, load up your characters with equipment, and go for rare, super-rare, and legendary fighters to help you win battles.
Read on for some tips and tricks for RAID: Shadow Legends!
Start with the right hero to get off to a good start. If you don’t like the hero that you pick, delete the game, reinstall it, and then pick a new hero when you start over again. You can pick between Elhain, Kael, Galek, and Athel. Elhain is often considered the best one.
Each battle has both a manual and an automatic mode. Being that it’s a turn based RPG, there is no moving around, so you can hit the auto button and let it take over without losing anything strategy-wise. You can also hit 2x to double the speed.
Be sure to hit the tavern whenever you need to get rid of common heroes, since common heroes (and even most uncommon ones) are relatively useless. Sacrifice them and use them to level up your rare and above heroes.
Every single summon that you do requires some type of shard – either a mystery shard, a void shard, an ancient shard, or a sacred shard. So don’t bother saving your silver for the sacred shard because you’ll not only need the shard anyway, but silver is plentiful in this game.
Plus, by having a higher number of champions, you can match elements against enemies with different teams of champions. Blue is strong against green. Red is strong against blue. Green is strong against red. Purple is neither strong nor weak against any other elements.
Once you pass player level 15, you’ll unlock the sparring pit. The sparring pit is where you can send a hero to level them up without actually having to do anything. Just set the hero in there, and with time, they will level up, without you having to actually do anything other than wait.
If you have 500 gems, you can unlock the Mine to earn even more gems. This is a good strategy for the stingy free player – rack up all those gems, then buy the mine. You’ll earn five gems every two days, which will take about 4 months to pay off, but which will continue paying free gems after that.
Be sure to login daily in order to collect the login rewards. You can get free gems, free shards, and more, and every 28 days, you’ll get free Sacred Shards, which can be used to unlock the rarest 4-7 star summon characters. The longer you play, the better your team will become.
Two other ways to get free Sacred Shards are with the monthly quests and the progress missions. There are five monthly quests per month, and when you finish all of them you get Sacred Shards. There are 150 progress missions to complete before you can earn a free Sacred Shard from that.
Join a clan, and then get together with your clan mates to fight the clan boss. They’re nearly impossible to beat by yourself unless you’re max-leveled and max-rared, and even then, good luck.
Make sure to equip all of your characters with a full set of equipment. The rarer, the better, and when you see a red dot next to an equipment slot, that means that either it’s an empty slot that you have equipment available for, or you have better equipment available to replace what you already have there.
Once you get the shop, unlock all of the slots in the shop that you can. You’ll get daily items to purchase there using only silver. Plus, you can get free ancient shards and mystery shards there – three days for an ancient one and one day for a mystery one.

I have looked at a number of these articles, and sadly they are all mostly basic information that you will learn as you play.
They also make it sound like there's a lot of variety in playing, but the campaign, faction, and dungeon raids are all pretty much the same. The "PvP" arena is Player vs (a pre-set team of another player fighting on auto) and the "clan boss battles" are just your own team taking a turn whacking away at a giant monster that eventually gets defeated. So you can put all of them on auto -- which may be the best thing about this game, especially with the multi-battle feature: you can do other things while it's running.
The BIG tip that I've only seen like once that beginners should really know is, DO NOT PUT A LOT INTO EQUIPPING COMMON RANK CHAMPIONS!!! As some of these articles point out, common rank champions aren't good for anything but sacrificing in the Tavern to level up and rank up high-level champions -- and when you sacrifice them, YOU LOSE THEIR EQUIPMENT or PAY TO KEEP IT! A bunch of the early quests are about equipping champions with certain sets and upgrading, so it's easy to get caught up in that and then find out later you've got a well-equipped champion who's never going to be anything but lame -- what a waste!
I would also say try the Faction raids when you can, although you can't use the drops you get until level 30, because it's nice to have a bunch when you do unlock the Forge. Also it's neat to see how you get different sets in different factions for different levels of power.
OH, and the Affinity dungeons, to get the elixers for Ascending champions! And take notes on which champions have powers that get special boosts from full ascension levels.
