Toy Defense is a free tower defense game for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, as well as for the Android OS. In this game you play as the commander of a bunch of toy soldiers, and your mission is to defeat the rival team of toy soldiers in a combat setting before they hit your base. You can do this with all kinds of soldiers such as flamethrowers, riflemen, and anti-aircraft artillery, and you’ll even see explosions, but it’s all toys – it’s like Sid from Toy Story’s dream come true! Stars are the premium currency of the game (well, actually, they are THE currency), and are used to buy all kinds of things, from upgrades to recovering your base in the middle of the fight. Here’s how to get stars without having to spend any real life money on them!
The first, and most obvious, way to get free stars is to beat a stage in the game. You will get stars as a reward if you beat a stage, but there are only a limited number of stars in each stage for you to get. You can always switch back and forth between the two “chapters” of the game to maximize your star output from that.
The second is to complete offers for free stars, both within the game and within Tapjoy. To do this, first, go to the store menu. Inside the store menu, there will be a button that says “Free stars” – or more accurately, the word “Free” with a picture of a star next to it. Tap this, and you will have a whole bunch of options to earn free stars, to include tweeting about the game, “liking” it on facebook, rating it on the app store, sending out an email about the game, and whatnot.
But the top button will simply say “free stars”. Click that and a whole bunch more options will appear, including an option to sign up with Tapjoy. Do that, and even more options will open up to you through Tapjoy’s website, such as downloading another game for your system. All of Tapjoy’s options are free.
