The creators of this game love giving stuff away for free, so look for many opportunities to score free goods in exchange for watching advertisement videos. Go to the “Free Items” button on the main menu to watch videos in exchange for random items, such as airstrikes and med kits. Go to the IAP store and hit “Watch a video free” for free gold. Hit the “Get More Free” button to complete offers for gold.

Most of your missions will center around one gun, so use these missions to power up your weapons and to master the use of your various weapons, as well as to earn the cash to upgrade them and increase their power. Upgrade them only as much as you need to at the time, so that you can save up cash and use it to upgrade a specific weak point later on for a tougher stage.

Look for armor around too. You can either earn armor in a specific stage, or you can purchase armor using gems. Spend gold on the Soldier’s Fortune crates to get a chance at earning gems. You’ll also have a chance at either loading up on war cash or earning premium goods that you can’t buy for cash in the store.

If you get stuck on a tough mission, go and play the other missions for awhile until you rack up some upgrade cash. After earning the cash, upgrade whatever weapon you need for the tough mission. Some upgrades won’t increase the damage, but you can look ahead on the upgrade chart to see which future upgrades will increase damage or whatever other attributes you are trying to improve (such as bazooka range or machine gun firing rate).

If you beat all of the available central missions, go back and play the weapon-centric missions for an added challenge. There are a massive amount of them for you to play and each one tends to be more challenging to beat than the last. You’ll end up with a massively upgraded set of weapons by the time that you master them.
