Galaxy Factions – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Galaxy Factions is a new real time strategy battle game for the iOS platform. Your goal is to build up the strongest outer space base that you can, train troops and battle both against other players and against computer controlled bases in order to achieve dominance of the galaxy. Read on for some tips and tricks for Galaxy Factions!

On defense, a good strategy is to move your buildings as close together as possible. This makes it possible to easily defeat attackers because you will be able to move more buildings within the range of your defensive units, such as guns. This also makes it cheaper to surround your whole base with barriers, and (as you upgrade your HQ and level up) build multiple layers of walls around your base.

If you have a hole in your wall, then make sure to fill it up with mines (such as claymore mines and M1 mines). This will be an easy lure for opposing troops because they tend to go around the walls if there is an opening (except for the engineers who will blow right through the walls).

Offensively, you can unlock new types of troops by upgrading your training facility, and unlock more housing spaces by upgrading your transport ship. After enough upgrades to your command center, you will be able to build more transport ships, which is the fastest way to be able to send huge armies in when you attack. The bigger your collection of troops, the better, as battles are mainly a numbers game.

You don’t get your troops back after you win (unless you spend matterium to do so), regardless of whether or not they are killed in action. If possible, especially if you are facing someone weak, try to send in less than all of your troops, letting your heroes pick up the slack, but if you are facing a tough competitor, go ahead and send them all in. And because of the above fact, you will use up your Crystals very quickly, so build more Crystal mines and upgrade them and your vault before you worry about your Energus stuff.

Open the side menu and tap on the trophy button (the Achievements menu) to earn some free Matterium, and to see more ways that you are able to earn more Matterium. The screen is loaded with tasks that you can complete in order to earn some free Matterium, so take advantage of them. And try not to spend your Matterium on free speed-ups. Save it up for some better bonuses, such as getting more heroes.
