Heroes of Dragon Age – Walkthrough, Wiki, FAQ and Beginner’s Guide

Welcome to the beginner’s guide for Heroes of Dragon Age! The latest game in the Dragon Age series is the first to make it to the iOS and Android platforms. The look of this game will be very familiar to anyone who has played the other Dragon Age games, while the style of gameplay will be familiar to anyone who has played a card battle game on the mobile platforms. If you aren’t familiar to either of these (or even if you are), it’s still an easy game to get into, but it’s VERY tough to master. Read on for the beginner’s guide to Heroes of Dragon Age!

Starting off the game, you’ll be sent to your first battle. The moves in the battle take place automatically. The fastest characters in your party or the enemy party attack first, followed by those with medium speed, and finally followed by the slowest characters. Typically, the slowest characters will be the most powerful and have the most health, while the fastest will be the weakest with the least health.

After that tutorial, the game begins. You’ll be spending the vast majority of your time doing either quests or battles. Quests cost one energy apiece (represented by the yellow grail) while battles cost one stamina apiece (represented by the pink lamp). Quests are level-based, and you can unlock new levels by beating the level before it.

After you beat all of the levels on one single map, you will unlock a new map. The final level on a map will usually be some type of boss level, with a far more powerful battle than you will have encountered previously in the map. Once you beat this boss, you’ll earn a large bonus of either gems (the premium currency of the game) or gold (the common currency, but the bonuses will be larger than the usual prizes). Every battle will earn you gold and experience points if you win. Losing will earn you no gold and a small amount of experience.

After you beat a level, you can always go back and play it again, and after you play it enough times to master it, you will earn free gems. The enemies on that level get more and more difficult each time you replay it though, up until you master it. You will fight the same enemies, but their experience levels will have increased. Before you begin the battle, tap the “question mark” nect to the battle name in order to see their experience levels.

Every battle has a “fast forward button” on the left side of the screen. Hitting this button will not affect the outcome of the battle; it will only double the speed of the battle. This is extremely helpful when you use runes, because runes are time limited. You pick up runes as you go, and you can select up to two runes from the “Heroes” menu on the main screen, outside of battle.
