Finally, complete missions in order to get bonus coins. Missions are unlocked by collecting sea shells from the bottom of the sea or from caves. Click on the sea shell icon in the upper left corner of the screen to see what you have to do to complete all of the missions, including the locked ones, but you can only complete the requirements after unlocking a mission. You’ll earn significant amounts of coins for completing any of them, and even more bonus coins if you complete all of the missions for one shark.
The premium currency in Hungry Shark Evolution is gems, which you can spend on anything from unlocking a shark early to buying some new items. There are only two ways to get gems in this game. One of them is to buy more gems through the app store, and the other one is to find a gem fish and eat it. Gem fish will be glowing green, just as the fish that contain coins will be glowing gold in color. You only get one gem each time that you eat a gem fish, but over time they end up adding up, as long as you aren’t spending gem after gem on extra continues.
Spend your coins and gems by going to either the Evolve section or simply waiting for the shop to load before a stage after you click the play button. Your five main skills are Bite, Speed and Boost, which are all fairly self explanatory, and can be leveled by up to 5 levels and maxed out. You’ll also see your shark’s experience points and size, between level 1 and level 11 (MAX). As soon as one shark hits level 11, you get to unlock the next shark.
The first shark is the reef shark, followed by the mako shark. After that come the hammerhead shark, the tiger shark, and the great white shark, each being more powerful, able to eat more different creatures, and able to swim to deeper depths than the one before it.
Now go out there and unlock every shark in the game!
