City Story Metro iPhone Game Guide part 2: More tips, tricks, cheats, hints and strategies

Welcome to part 2 of the City Story Metro strategy guide. Click here to go back to part 1 of the guide.

In part 1 of the guide, it was written that using the iPhone time cheat could help to speed things up. However, since part 1 was written, the game has been modified by the developers. Now, when you try to do the iPhone time cheat, the game will act as if the time is now ahead, but then it will reverse itself after a minute or two.

However, sometimes it actually is possible to have the changes remain after the game resets itself back to normal. To do this trick, you have to either be right about to gain a level, or about to finish a quest. Do the time cheat, then go back to the game and either complete a quest or gain a level. When the congratulations screen pops up, click out of the game, shut it down by double tapping the menu button, holding your finger on the game until it wiggles, then hit the “-” button. Set the time back to normal.

Now, open the app back up and some of your additions will remain. Not all of them will remain, but either the energy you collected, the coins you collected, or the goods that you collected (or spent) will still be there.

Having neighbors is a necessity in the game, but sometimes they are difficult to find. First, you need a Storm8 ID. Then, rename your city to “add:storm8 ID” and replace the storm8 ID part with your actual Storm8 ID. Start visiting as many cities as possible and helping out, posting on walls and leaving bonuses. You will have a lot of different people add you within what will probably be a quick amount of time.

Alternatively, you can also go to the City Story Metro Add Me Page to find new friends in the game.
