The objective the game is not to get knocked out, and getting knocked out involves merely getting hit with the ball. In order to avoid getting hit with the ball, you can do one of two things. The first is to put your guard up, which creates a shield around your character.

The second is to swing your bat at the ball, which smacks the ball and sends it flying toward another player. Both of these things are done with the same button, in fact. Simply hit the guard button shortly before the ball reaches you, and not only will shield come up, but your character will also swing at the ball.

Don’t forget to make good use of the other skills, as well. Jumping is the most basic thing that your character can do besides running, but you also have other skills that you can unlock, such as dashing. These can help you get more time to hit the ball, or even redirect the ball and send it flying toward another player.

Your ultimate goal is to win, but even if you lose, you still want to try to knock out as many other players as possible. For each one that you knock out, you will earn coins, and knocking other players out of the game is also a good way to complete quests and missions.

Completing quests and missions is one of your best ways to earn rare goodies, such as gems, large amounts of coins, new bats, new skins, Emotes, and far more. None of these will give you better stats or give you an advantage in gameplay, with the exception of unlocking new skills. All of the skins and emotes are purely cosmetic, even the rare, mythic, and legendary ones.
