CSR Racing 2 – How to get bronze crates and keys, silver keys, and gold keys

CSR Racing 2 features a massive amount of new ways to earn prizes. You can open bronze, silver, and gold crates to earn new rare and uncommon parts, as well as rare cars that are unavailable anywhere else. It can be a bit tough to figure out how to get bronze, silver, or gold keys, though. Read on to find out how!

You can open bronze crates for free at timed intervals, without keys. All that you have to do is go to the rare imports area once every three and a half hours or so and you will have a free set of parts available in one of the crates. Occasionally, you can win cash, gold, or even a car too.

Participate in the daily battles. You can race once every four hours (which makes me wonder why they are called daily battles). Every three races you will win gold but in between that, you will win other random prizes, which often includes either bronze keys, or silver keys.

If you play CSR Racing 2 on your desktop or laptop on Mac or PC, link your account on desktop up with your iOS or Android account using something like Facebook. Before opening your free crates or doing daily battles, open both your desktop version and your mobile version, logged into the same account, and you can do all of your dailies and/or time limited items twice a day.

Join a crew, and make sure that you join a good one. Compete in the global crew championship and win races in order to rack up crew RP, or respect points. Make sure that you join a crew that is active as well. Prizes in the crew championship include gold keys for the top two, silver keys for almost all of the top 50, and bronze keys for the 10th through 1,000,000th crew.

The crew cup and the prize cup are great ways to earn keys as well. Earn keys in the prize cup by winning races to fill the win bar. When you hit 5, 15, and 25 wins, you will earn 15, 25 and 35 silver keys. At the crew cup, the prizes change, but most of the time they will include silver keys at certain points on the win bar.

All three types of keys can be purchased in the in-app purchase store. All that you have to do is go to the store and tab over to the key area, and a sub-tab will let you select the key color. The rarer the keys, the more expensive that they are and the less of them you’ll be able to buy for the same amount of money. But of course, the silver and gold keys are worth the money. Gold keys can buy you extremely rare exotic cars that even gold won’t be able to buy you.
