Defend the Planet – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Defend the Planet is a new endless game where your goal is to stop meteors from hitting the planet. Your goal is to stop as many of them as possible so that you can rack up the highest score as possible. They are going to get hit eventually, but you can theoretically get a nearly unlimited score until then. Read on for some tips and tricks for Defend the Planet!

Keep a close eye on the meteors that are coming for you and turn your barriers in order to match up with them. If they get through and into your atmosphere, you lose the round immediately. If they don’t get through and your block them with your barriers, you can keep going.

Every so often, a space shuttle will show up. Instead of blocking it with your barrier, let it through. Once it gets back through to your planet, the space shuttle will cause all of the meteors on the screen to blow up all at once. Let the space shuttle through as soon as you see it for that nice reset.

Keep scoring points and you will begin earning stars. Earn enough stars and you will be able to unlock entirely new planets. Each planet will have a different shape to its barrier setup, and other challenges added to them. Go back to old planets to get more stars so that you can earn new planets.

Tap as far down on the screen as you can so that you can see as much of what is going on as possible. This will keep you from having meteors blocked by your finger, and allow you to have the best reaction time that you can so that you can move the barriers quickly enough.

There are two kinds of power ups that you can use. The green one causes barriers to fill the empty spaces, while the red one causes one entire unbroken barrier to surround your planet. So essentially, they amount to similar things. You can only get more power ups once you run out, and you have to buy them with real life money. There isn’t yet a known way to earn them for free within the game.
