Guide to Littlest Pet Shop for iOS: Tips, tricks, hints, cheats and strategies

The Littlest Pet Shop is one of the all time classic franchises for anybody who grew up in the 90s, and with its increased popularity comes a brand new iPhone game by Gameloft. This game plays similarly to tower games such as Tiny Tower, except sideways, and with more little mini games. Your goal is to build collections of pets and to build more buildings so that you can house more pets. You can feed them, clean them, play with them and pick up all kinds of little bonuses around your town. Read on for some tips and tricks for Littlest Pet Shop!

There is not much waiting to be done early on in the game, but as the game continues you’ll have to wait even longer for buildings to complete and for pets to arrive, unless you want to spend bling to speed it up. There is a better way to do it, though, and it doesn’t involve you having to spend any bling or any real money to speed it up.

Go to the settings menu and change the time on your phone, so that it’s a few minutes ahead (or however much time you need to cut off). For every one minute you add, you’ll subtract one minute from the amount of time that your buildings or your pets need in order to be complete.

Almost everything that you come across inside your town can be tapped in order to get more kibble (the primary currency in the game). Tap all of the teacups and all of the fun things on top of houses (such as teeter totters), and tap the pets who are driving by in cars and flying by in planes, and they will all earn you more kibble.

If you want to get more hearts, you can invite friends to play with you. If you don’t have any on Facebook or Twitter, tap the top icon in the friends menu (the Gameloft icon) and make a username and password and start adding as many people as you can. Go to forums, app store reviews, etc, to find more people to add.
