Idle Miner Tycoon – The Ultimate Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats, and Strategies

By | 20170509

Idle Miner Tycoon is a new iOS and Android game where you automate your mining profits to become relentlessly rich. Your goal is to dig the mine as deep as it can possibly go, collecting as much cash as you can, maximizing your idle cash, and earning the lucrative super cash bonus currency. Read on for some tips and tricks for Idle Miner Tycoon!

The first thing that you’ll do, or at least that you should do, is hire a manager for every single one of your mine shafts, your elevator, and your transportation. The manager is how the game goes from active to idle, in that they have your workers doing the job for you. You can also move managers around and hire spares. Remove managers and switch them around as needed depending on what their bonus skill is.

For example, one of the best ways to do this is with upgrades. If you want to get to one of the milestone levels quicker (10, 25, 50, 100, etc.) for the massive bonuses that they entail, switch a manager over whose skill is to drop the upgrade cost. Once you do that, wait for the cool-down to finish, then switch them over to whatever else you want to drop a quick upgrade on.

Always open a new mine shaft as soon as you can afford to, even at the cost of upgrading something else immediately. Miners from brand new mine shafts will make massive amounts of money right from the beginning, even before being leveled up. They also add sky-high amounts of cash per second to the idle profits, so when you go offline, then come back after awhile, your money will be maximized.

Always spend your upgrades on your miners themselves unless one of two things happens. If you see a stockpile of money building up at the elevator faster than the transporters can collect it, then upgrade your transporter. If you see piles of money building up in one of your mine shafts because the elevator can’t collect it all, then upgrade your elevators.

Hit the boost x2 button whenever you are playing in order to double every bit of idle and active gold/cash that you earn. A video ad will play and then you will have a 4-hour boost. You can stack up to 32 hours worth of these boosts. If you come back from idle, you will also be able to do a 2x bonus on all of your offline earnings. Combine this with the original video ads for hours and you can do 4x earnings total.

About Evan Heisenberg

Evan Heisenberg named himself after a Breaking Bad character one time, and then got stuck with it. He’s a San Diego guy living in Tacoma, so he legitimately enjoys the cliche “long walks on the beach.” Aside from writing about mobile games, Evan is an aircraft hydraulic maintainer and maintenance instructor. He likes weightlifting, beer, dad jokes, the Padres and Chargers, and slightly-old luxury and exotic cars.
