The big story with this game is that you can now train a dragon. Right now, the dragon is still a work in progress, and the developers haven’t put it into the game. Once you train the dragon, you’ll be able to build the Dragon Jail, which you can then use to capture other players’ dragons, and the Forge, which you can then use to get equipment for your dragon.

Until then you have to fight using only your troops, which isn’t a problem because so does everybody else. Troop training is mostly a numbers game, and to get the most troops you need to have a high population, as well as the obvious resources. Build and upgrade houses to increase the population, and build and upgrade farms, quarries, ironmines and lumbermills. Idle citizens (those who aren’t working in one of those four) will earn you more gold.

Battles are done in a Rock Paper Scissors manner. You have four main categories of troops. Ground fighters beat horses, horses beat artillery, and artillery beats ground fighters. The fourth is the goblin troops, which don’t fight. They carry resources, though, so they are as important as any of the other ones.

An easy way to farm for resources is to find kingdoms that have been abandoned by other players. You can tell because when you scout them, they will have no troops but they will still be producing resources, and they will never increase in levels. Attack them as often as you can for a very easy source of income.

Open the mystery gift chest as often as possible. Not only will it give you bonuses such as hourglasses to speed up construction, but you’ll even earn free gems fairly often out of it.
