Zombie Road Trip: Walkthrough, Tips, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Zombie Road Trip is a new iOS and Android game that puts you in a car in a post-apocalyptic landscape and challenges you to go as far as possible while killing as many zombies as you can.

Your goal is to shoot down the zombies in front of you while running away from the zombies behind you. You can earn coins, upgrade your car and your weapons, and more.

Upgrading your car is mostly a cosmetic thing; the only difference between cars is in their sizes. Otherwise, their speed and handling are about the same.

Weapons, on the other hand, are a different story. Each weapon fires differently (spray damage vs singular damage, short vs long reload times, etc). Each weapon can be upgraded twice after you purchase it, with upgrades increasing firing damage, decreasing cool-down time, or increasing the number of shots per tap.

Make sure to do flips for speed boosts. You can do single, double, triple, or even more flips in a single jump, but more important is how well you land it.

Getting a perfect landing will fill the bar far more than simply getting a good landing will. So when in doubt, go for less flips but aim your landing perfectly, instead of trying to do a ton of flips and putting your landing at risk.

Gadget upgrades are a combination between cosmetic upgrades and practical upgrades. Upgrades like Laser Sight are practical as they add a red sniper-like laser to help you aim. Upgrades such as Retro Music or Dubstep Music are entirely cosmetic as they change the music of the game.

Tap on the “More” menu on the main screen to get to the Missions menu. Missions can be completed in order to earn free coins. Tap on Options and you can turn sound on and off, as well as change the controls from buttons to tilt and vice-versa.

Plenty of bonuses are hidden behind video ad options in this game, so play with an internet connection when at all possible. At the end of a race, you can triple your coins by watching an ad video, or you can watch one from the main menu for 200 free coins.

Tap on the wheel of chance button for free spins, which are earned by either watching an advertisement video, or by spending the lottery tickets that you find in levels. You get them by shooting birds when you see them.
