Amateur Surgeon 3 is a new game for the iPhone and iPad, and possibly coming soon to the Android, by Adult Swim. It’s very quickly become one of the most popular iOS games. Your goal is to go from stage to stage, doing surgeries on different patients, doing them with as few mistakes as possible, as quickly as possible, and trying to get as many points as possible. Read on for some tips and tricks for Amateur Surgeon 3!

When you run out of bloodpacks, you don’t have to sit around waiting for them to come back. Just set the time ahead on your phone or other device by half an hour per energy that you need to recover, and then go back to the game and play. If you set the time back to normal, it will reverse this trick.
With quick-swipe items such as the lighter and the healing gel, use multiple fingers to speed up your work. You can only swipe one finger at a time, but alternate between one thumb and the other thumb, and you can end up speeding your work up significantly, allowing you to finish with more points, more time left and a higher heart rate for the patient.
You can get up to three stars initially on each stage, which is easy to do if you are quick and if you don’t slip and make mistakes (such as going too fast with the chainsaw or stapling outside of a deep cut). There are two bonus stars you can get per stage as well. To earn them, you have to select the stage, then on the right side of the screen, tab down to “Bonus I” and “Bonus II”. You can only earn one bonus star at a time as they are each under different tabs.
The easiest way not to make any mistakes if you have fat fingers is to use a stylus that can go with an iPhone or an iPad, Otherwise, though, pay attention to WHICH part of your finger lands on the screen when you press it, or use a smaller finger than your thumb (such as your index or middle finger).
Pick your partners carefully. Mr. Giblets is excellent for completing any of the “no syringe” challenges, although if you want to earn more coins, play with Filthy Nowe as your partner, because he will double all of your coins. If you want to earn more coins go back and play old stages even if you have already gotten every possible star on each stage.
