Catapult King is a brand new arcade style game for the iPhone and the iPod Touch as well as for the Android operating system. The game plays much like a 3D version of Angry Birds, where you have a catapult/slingshot, and instead of hitting pigs which are embedded inside various structures, your goal is to hit a bunch of mini kings which are inside various structures, all of which tend to look like castles built of wood, brick and stone. Later in the game it can get to be very eye straining to try to see all of the kings and all of the pieces of the castle structure. However, there are some ways to make it easier to see the kings. For one, swipe your finger around the screen to explore around. You can move forward, back, left and right in order to get a better look at all of the kings that you have to get rid of.
You can also take your two fingers and spin them in a circle in order to rotate the angle of the camera, spinning it around a fixed point. Using this is a good way to find kings that might be hiding behind or under a structure, that you wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Move your two fingers in opposite directions in order to simply zoom in or out, the old school way.
Find blocks to knock out that will topple as much of the structure as possible. You will get the same amount of points for knocking down blocks as you will for totally destroying the blocks, so simply knocking down the blocks will suffice to increase your score high enough to get the gold crown instead of the silver or bronze ones.
If you have used your last cannonball and the game is telling you to restart, but there are still pieces of block falling down and you have already killed the last king, then wait until all of the blocks have fallen down before you hit the button. Often, the restart button will turn into a “forward” button in the midst of all the destruction due to the extra points from the falling blocks.
