Star Wars: Tiny Death Star – How to win without spending any money

8-bit graphics and whimsical humor combine to make Tiny Death star a take on the Star Wars world unlike any before it. Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine have ordered you to get to work on building a city within the Death Star so that you can house Bitizens and make money, as well as catch rebel spies and make other empire-related goods. There are a number of in-app purchases that you can make, but none of them are really required in order to get where you want to. Read on to find out how to win without spending anything!

The main IAP in this game is Imperial Bux, which are then used to purchase almost anything from better elevators to Star Wars movie characters, to more credits and speedups. Imperial Bux can be earned without spending any money, though, by catching rebel spies, building new floors in the Death Star, and helping VIPS and other randoms out in the elevator for rewards. There is a surprising amount of ways for you to earn a Bux or two.

Save your bux, as well. Don’t spend money on any speed ups. If you get impatient, set the time on your phone or tablet ahead in order to quickly finish construction jobs, or to stock or sell an item instantly. Do this as many times as you want with no limits.

Be aware, however, that each time that set the time back to normal after doing this trick, one of your residents will be lost due to air lock. Make it worth your while by doing this same trick over and over again, as many times as possible, to earn as many credits as possible, before having to set the time back to normal. You can theoretically do this trick endlessly before you set the time back, and still only lose one resident via an air lock malfunction.

Don’t even bother wasting your money on elevators. They aren’t that much faster, the tips are not that much better, and it still takes the same amount of time for you to wait for another bitizen to enter the elevator after the previous one has been dropped off.

So what about all of those Star Wars characters and whimsical scenes? They will pop up randomly in the elevator from time to time. They are very uncommon – even far less so than VIPs are – but they will show up from time to time. Make sure you have open spaces in your apartments for them. And if you really want to spend Bux on them, then this is the one thing that you should save your Bux for.
