This game is a very casual game that is meant to be played at a slow pace. Rabbits will show up on their own time, and your chances of having them show up depend on what furniture and other items you have on your property. The bigger the variety that you have, the better chances of more of them showing up, so try to buy one of everything.
You need carrots in order to get furniture, of course, and the way to get carrots without spending money is to interact with bunnies and to draw more of them into your island. When they show up and you catch them, you will be able to feed them, pet them, and brush them in exchange for more carrots. Be sure to also check the tips area, because bunnies will leave you tips when they show up, whether you catch them or not.

Another way to earn more carrots, one that is severely overlooked, is to look around your island and look for random carrots growing in the ground. Tap them and you will collect them, earning one carrot apiece. Check your island very frequently and collect any carrots that you might find.
Use construction mode in order to move anything on your island around, or to get rid of it. You can move your trees and rocks and plants around in order to find stuff that might be hidden behind them, or you can get rid of them altogether, but if you get rid of them, you will not earn any carrots in return, and you will have to purchase them again if you want to bring them back.
If you don’t want to get rid of the trees but you want them out of the way, move them as close to the top of the screen as you can, so that most of the tree is completely out of the picture. Carrots will often hide behind trees, but this will minimize the chances of carrots hiding behind them in places that you can’t get.
The game will not tell you if you already own something or not, so in order to avoid buying duplicates, look around your island before you shop. If you don’t have anything that you can currently afford to purchase, then save your carrots and come back to the game later to earn more, until you can afford something new.
To unlock the beach without spending any money, be sure to complete all of your daily tasks so that you can earn golden carrots. You will need to spend 10 gold carrots in order to unlock the beach, which will give you more territory and the chance at possibly seeing more bunnies. After you do that, you might even find more areas that you have a chance at unlocking.
