Piano City – Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Piano City is a new music game for the iPhone and iPad. The goal is to play a miniature “piano” to play songs, complete missions, and unlock new concert houses and other areas, while keeping pace with (and getting ahead of) rival pianists. Read on for some tips and tricks for Piano City!

Whenever you play a round of piano, your energy drops, and whenever your energy runs out you won’t be able to play anymore until it comes back on its own. You can either spend diamonds or wait for it to come back on its own, or you can cheat and do the time lapse cheat to get all of your energy back. To do this, set the time ahead on your phone or tablet by however much you need to restore all of it. A full restoration from 0 to 80 requires four hours (240 minutes).

Do this, and then go back to the game and you’ll see that your energy has been restored. Then go back to the date and time settings and set the time back to normal on your phone. Then go back to Piano City and your free health that you just earned will still be there.

This is a game that’s difficult if not impossible to play with the sound off. Turn on the sound so that you can play songs by ear rather than by eye, because lining up pieces perfectly is like herding cats. Match your taps to the song itself.

Tap the bottom half of the keys rather than the top half. If you tap the top half it’s easy to fat finger the wrong note – tapping the bottom half guarantees far better tapping accuracy. Playing on a bigger device also helps to make it easier to track where your fingers are going.

Don’t know where to go next? Go to the quests and start completing them because as you complete quests, you’ll be able to level up, unlock new stages, and unlock new songs as well. You can go back and play old stages as often as you want, as well. Not only can you complete quests this way, but you can complete collections of specific items, and when you turn in a full collection you can earn free diamonds or other bonuses.
