Crystal Crusade – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Crystal Crusade is a new puzzle RPG for the iOS and Android platforms. You play as a number of comedic characters such as Don Swordinho de la Shielda, and your goal is to put an army together by making puzzle combos, earn gold, and use your army to smash your rivals and retake their kingdoms. Read on for some tips and tricks for Crystal Crusade!

Try to make combos of more than three crystals in a row. If you make four in a row, you will instantly knock out an entire line of crystals. Do five in a row and you will knock out two lines, one vertical and one horizontal. Mix a rainbow crystal with another crystal to knock out all of the same-colored crystals. Mix two rainbow crystals together to knock out every single crystal on the screen.

Level up both your troops and your heroes to increase your stats. This allows you to have a higher chance of beating the enemy armies with less heroes, or to have a better chance of beating high-level armies, or to beat armies that you don’t have a good hero match against.

Medallions are the premium currency of the game. You can buy them, or you can go to the in-app purchase store screen and watch a video to earn free medallions. The first video earns you five medallions, the second earns you six, and so on – every consecutive video that you watch earns you 1 more medallion over the last video that you watched.

Either gold coins or medallions can be used to level up your heroes, so if you run out of coins, go and watch videos for awhile and use the medallions that you earn to level up your heroes instead of the coins. Or you can spend crystals on new spells, which are significantly more expensive than leveling up your heroes is.

Be sure to keep track of what troops are assigned to what color combinations. Many of your quests will involve having different heroes make up a majority of your party, or a percentage of a certain type of hero alive after the battle is complete. If you win a level but you don’t earn any stars, go back to the level later with higher-level heroes and try it again.
