Fans of the SimCity franchise, the one that started it all YEARS before The Sims became a hit, will enjoy the new SimCity Social by Electronic Arts. It’s like SimCity and CityVille had a love child, and it makes for a very fun game. Diamonds are the premium currency in SimCity Social, and unfortunately, you normally have to buy them or spend your Facebook Credits on them. How do you get free diamonds, though? Read on to find out!
There are a few events in the game which give you free diamonds. One of them is leveling up. Each time that you gain an experience level, the game gives you diamonds as an in game reward. Also, if you play the game for five days straight, and collect your daily bonus each day, on the fifth day you will have a chance to win free diamonds.
However, that’s not where the real big diamonds are. There are many things you can do to get free diamonds. Click on “Get More” next to the diamond counter that shows how many diamonds you have left. Click that, and you will be taken to the screen where, normally, you can buy diamonds.
Instead of trying to buy diamonds, though, go down to the tab on the side that says “Earn Diamonds”. A whole bunch of offers will pop up for diamonds – some free, and some paid. Obviously, you want the free ones, so do this. Go to the “categories” drop down menu, and change the category to “free” and only free offers will pop up. Do as many of those ones as you feel like doing.
If you have an iPhone, you can go over to the “Apps” tab and you will be able to earn free diamonds for downloading various free iPhone apps to your phone. And finally, even though they will not show on the free menu, the surveys under the “Surveys” tab are free, too, so complete surveys if you’d like in order to get even more free diamonds.
