Gun Idle is a new idle game for the iOS and Android platforms where your goal is to unlock guns, tap them to shoot – or watch them shoot on their own, and earn money for every shot they make. You can build up a collection of hundreds of guns, unlock all kinds of boosts and level-ups, and make money flow in at as high of a rate as possible. Read on for some tips and tricks for Gun Idle!

Right from the moment that you unlock your first gun, they will fire automatically, but you can tap them to fire them as well if you want to earn more money through active play. Each time that you level up a gun, not only will you increase the amount that the gun earns per shot, you’ll also increase the amount of shots fired per second. The shots per second skyrockets between upgrade level 90 and 100, which is the maximum level for each gun.

Try to play the game on an iPad if possible, rather than on an iPhone. You can tap a gun with multiple fingers alternating, but playing on a tablet makes this far easier. The multi-finger taps are impossible to do on an iPhone SE, not that hard to do on an XS Max, and difficult to do on an X, XS, or non-plus phone.

There is no need to buy every single upgrade that you can afford for the newest gun; instead, save up some money so that you can swiftly build up enough to afford the brand-new gun after you hit a multiple of five in levels (level 25, 30, 35 etc). The new gun will typically be hellaciously expensive, but it will be worth it.

Play the game with an internet connection as often as possible, so that you can get the ad bonuses. When you come back from being offline for awhile, you’ll be able to watch an ad to double your offline income. When you gain a level, you’ll be able to get a bonus for the level-up bonus. When you catch a falling loot box, you will also be able to watch a video in order to triple it. And finally, you’ll be able to watch an ad video to give yourself a 5-minute money doubler boost.

One of the best ways to earn a huge amount of income and break through the offline income time limit is to set your phone screen to never sleep, then to leave the game active overnight. You’ll come back to a huge amount of money and ready to gain one level, and even though it’s only one level, all of that extra income will leave you ready for either a ton of upgrades, or to buy the next gun in line.
