When you play in the game, as you knock off different enemies, you will be able to level up and either put a new topping or spice on, or upgrade one of the ones that you are already holding. As far as the attack toppings go, your best bet generally are toppings like the pepperoni or the black olive, which can target large crowds of enemies at a time and deal splash damage, or in the case of the black olives, protect you from getting hit with projectiles.

There are so many different toppings and spices, though, that it will take experimentation to figure out which ones you like the best. You can even follow recipes within the game, which are collections of different spices and toppings that, when put together on your pizza in a single round, can give huge bonuses to your pizza.

These bonuses include large attack boosts, hit point boosts, speed, and other goodies. Often these boosts can be the difference between beating a tough battle and losing at the last second. You have to find these recipes before you can use them, but you can unlock them in special events and by picking up golden cans that you see throughout the stages.

Overall, the large hordes are tougher to beat than the bosses, since they can make it difficult simply to survive, but both types of battles have their challenges. The most important thing for you is to avoid getting hit. Even if you are statistically weaker than you should be when facing a specific battle, being good at avoiding damage can get you a very long way, and while stages might take a little longer if your attack power is weak, you can still end up winning in the long run.

Be sure to use special moves as often as possible when you unlock them. One prominent example is the dash, which allows you to move extremely fast for a very short period of time. This move is best used when you have a giant horde closing in on you and no exit; you can simply dash right through them and end up in safer territory.
