Planet Blast: Top Tips, Walkthrough, Cheats, Hacks, and Strategy Guide

Planet Blast is a new iOS and Android game where your goal is to protect your planet by shooting wave after wave of bouncing asteroids. You’ll go through one level at a time with asteroids becoming bigger, stronger, and more numerous as you progress, but you can use your coins for all kinds of upgrades to make it further and further into the game. Read on for some tips and tricks for Planet Blast!

The main upgrades that you can purchase are fire speed and fire power. Unlike other games, where the asteroids become stronger as you purchase more upgrades, they do not do that here; instead, they get stronger as you go from one level to the next, regardless of how many upgrades you purchase. So you’ll actually be able to see the tangible effect and benefit of all of your upgrades.

You’ll also unlock upgrades for coins earned, offline income, and extra lives. Coin upgrades don’t add to the value of each coin that falls; instead, they simply cause more and better coins to fall when you blow up asteroids. Offline income is hugely important so that you can come back after a long time offline and earn a whole lot of extra money. Extra lives allow you to take more hits, but the upgrade is only temporary, so save it until you need to pass a very tough level, and even then, your money is better spent on upgrading everything else instead.

You can also use a video ad to upgrade an attribute, instead of spending coins. To do that, tap on the “Get Free” button next to the purchase button. A video will play that lasts for about thirty seconds, and then when it ends, your upgrade will be in. This pops up only randomly, so catch it when it does, as long as you have an internet connection.

Save up a huge quantity of coins and you can purchase extra characters. Hit the video button next to the character to see it in action. Each character has different shot actions. Your stock character is the tank. The robot fires bouncing shots that reflect off of the first asteroid they hit, allowing them to hit asteroids below them. The red and white missile (50,000 coin character) fires a spread shot. The rocket (200,000 coin character) launches homing missiles that automatically target an asteroid no matter where you are, therefore, no wasted shots.

Want to earn a ton of offline income all at once? Close out of the game altogether, then go to the date and time settings of your phone and set them ahead for however long you want (an hour, a day, etc). Then go back to the game and collect your offline income. Do this as many times as you want in order to earn loads of instant coins.
