Flippy Race: Top Tips, Walkthrough, Cheats, Hacks, and Strategy Guide

Flippy Race is a new jet-ski racing and flipping game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to win the race against 24 other players with high speed and backflips, while also earning coins and gems. Read on for some tips and tricks for Flippy Race by Ketchapp!

Your goal in this game is to win first place, and the simple way to do that is to do as many flips as possible and to land them cleanly. If you do one flip, you get a single flip boost, and a double flip gets you double the flip boost. If you get going fast enough, a triple flip can even be possible, which is good for a triple-speed flip boost.

When you jump off of a wave, it’s always possible to do at least two flips. When you see the ramps, though, jump off the tall one and you’ll jump high enough to get the double flip. If you jump off of the low one, you’ll only get enough air to do one single flip, unless you jump at an insanely high speed.

If you sink, you lose the round, but there is one premium character, Ducky, a rubber duck that doesn’t sink if you land upside down. Normally, that would sink any of your jet skis, but your duck will just float back up to the top. Sure, it’ll slow you down, but it won’t end your run.

You can try the Ducky as many times as you want by watching an ad, or you can purchase it for $1.99 via in-app purchase. Other new vehicles, which do crash still, can be purchased using gems. Just go to the vehicle menu to find them, and to earn more gems, complete missions. Each time you complete one, you get the gem bonus and a new mission opens up as well.

As far as coins go, you can use these to upgrade the coin value of your flips and the speed boost that you get from doing a flip. Remember, though, that the more you upgrade your flip boost, the harder it is to time the flip landings properly. You’ll have to let go of the screen sooner and sooner each time that you upgrade.

About Evan Heisenberg

Evan Heisenberg named himself after a Breaking Bad character one time, and then got stuck with it. He’s a San Diego guy living in Tacoma, so he legitimately enjoys the cliche “long walks on the beach.” Aside from writing about mobile games, Evan is an aircraft hydraulic maintainer and maintenance instructor. He likes weightlifting, beer, dad jokes, the Padres and Chargers, and slightly-old luxury and exotic cars.
