Out of all of these tiers other than the gray one, excellent equipment is the most common, and can be acquired in numerous ways. Both The normal treasure chest and the epic treasure chest in the store have a good chance of giving you excellent equipment, although the epic treasure chest has a higher chance.
Additionally, you can acquire specific pieces of excellent equipment by going to the daily deals and looking through them. The deals change every 24 hours, and most of the time, when you see a piece of equipment in there, it will be excellent equipment, which isn’t even all that expensive.
You can also merge in order to acquire excellence equipment. All that you have to do is merge three identical pieces of normal equipment, and they will turn into one piece of excellent equipment.
Rare equipment is more powerful and less common than excellent equipment, and can be upgraded to higher levels. Merging works the same way with rare equipment; you simply have to merge three identical pieces of excellent equipment, and they will turn into one piece of rare equipment.
Rare equipment can be acquired from the epic treasure chest, but not from the normal treasure chest, at least directly. Additionally, rare equipment will sometimes up here in the daily shop, but less frequently than excellent equipment well.
Another way to acquire rare equipment is by spending Black dragon coins. Black dragon coins are a specific type of coin that is acquired by completing daily quests and collecting the rewards. Go to the black dragon coin shop and you will be able to spend 600 coins for one piece of rare equipment.
Epic equipment, which is the purple equipment, can be acquired from the epic treasure chests, hence the name. You will get a piece of epic equipment once every 10 poles, or if you purchase thin poles at the same time, you will earn one piece of epic equipment.
Epic equipment can also be acquired by merging three identical pieces of rare equipment. You’re going to want to make sure that your highest level piece of rare equipment is the main one, and the sacrifice equipment is at a lower level, so that you can maximize the level of your epic equipment.
Another way to acquire epic equipment is from the black dragon coin store. If you have 1800 black dragon coins, then you can buy a piece of epic equipment from a specific category, such as weapons or shield. You can also spent 500 black dragon coins on an epic treasure chest.
Legendary equipment, or gold equipment, is an entirely different beast than epic or anything below it. In order to get a piece of legendary equipment, you have to merge epic equipment; there is no other way around it. The mechanisms of merging the equipment are also different then you will be used to by this point.
First, you will merge a piece of epic equipment with another piece of legendary equipment that is in the same category, but is not necessarily identical. That equipment will become a legendary +1 piece of equipment.
Next, merge A legendary +1 with a legendary +1 that is in the same category, but not necessarily identical. You will get a legendary +2 piece of equipment when you do that.
Finally, merge a legendary +2 piece of equipment with a Legendary +2 piece of equipment that is in the same category, but not necessarily identical. Once you do that, it will finally become a legendary piece of equipment.

Mythical equipment, or red equipment, is even more rare than legendary equipment and is significantly harder and more time consuming to get, even if you are a whale. In order to get a piece of mythical equipment, you have to merge legendary equipment.
First, you will merge a piece of legendary equipment with another piece of legendary equipment that is in the same category, but is not necessarily identical. That equipment will become a legendary +1 piece of equipment.
Next, merge a legendary +1 with a legendary +1 that is in the same category, but not necessarily identical. You will get a legendary +2 piece of equipment when you do that.
Finally, merge a legendary +2 piece of equipment with a legendary +2 piece of equipment that is in the same category, but not necessarily identical. Once you do that, it will finally become a mythical piece of equipment.
To get SSR equipment, you have to try to get it from chests that only pop up occasionally for limited time events. SSR is a subcategory of epic equipment, which means that you can merge it in the same way as stated above, turning it into legendary and mythical SSR equipment.
