TouchFish – Tips, Tricks, Hints, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

TouchFish, which came out on the same day as iOS 8 came out, takes the genre of the aquarium games and turns it on its head with Pixar-quality characters, including a goldfish that can actually see you through your phone’s camera (if you allow it to). You can play with your fish, buy new fish and feed them, decorate the fish tank and buy new fish tanks, and more. Read on for some tips and tricks for TouchFish!

The main method in keeping your fish happy is to feed your fish, which is easy because you can buy more food from the inventory. Feed them as often as their feeding bar gets below the green (into the red), and when you feed them, they will earn you coins. Tap them in order to collect the coins.

Next, you can play with them. There are some main methods for doing so – for example, twirl your finger in a circle and you can spin it around. Start making faces and smiling into the camera when the fish sees your reflection to do this as well. This, too, will make your fish happy and will earn you coins.

Add as many additional fish as you can to your tank. Each one will earn you coins. Some of them will earn coins faster than others, but the more you have, the more coins you will earn. When you collect the coins from them, they will go away until it’s time to feed them again.

Swipe over to the right side of your tank, then to the right past the tank to open an options menu. This will have all sorts of options, such as for broadcasting on Twitch, changing the graphics around, or playing in theater mode.

That little green bar that appears at the top of the screen every single time that you double tap an object is actually your decoration score; buy more decorations to fill it. The blue bar is the fish’s happiness. Fill that by playing with him. If you’re trying to look at him and smile at him, look for yourself in the camera to make sure that you are doing it right.
