Disney Crossy Road: How to unlock the secret mystery characters

By | 20160408

Disney Crossy Road is loaded with characters from the Disney world, be it Mickey and friends, or specific movies such as Tangled and Toy Story, and even rides such as the Haunted Mansion. Just like Crossy Road before it, there are a ton of secret characters in this game, and more of them are being unlocked all the time. Read on for some tips on how to unlock the secret mystery characters in Crossy Road!

Dale (Mickey and Friends): To unlock Dale, you need to unlock the “Fab 5” character batch first. This consists of Mickey, Polka Dot Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. Once all five of these are unlocked, then Dale will automatically unlock.

Mortimer (Mickey and Friends): Play as Mickey, and then jump ahead until you unlock a big clearing with nothing in it, like in the original Crossy Road. Once you enter the clearing, hop up to Mortimer, then pass him and keep going until you die. When you die, Mortimer will be unlocked.

Gideon (Zootopia): Unlock the Top of the Food chain set of characters. Once you complete the collection of the Top of the Food Chain characters, Gideon will immediately become available to use.

Warthog (Zootopia): First, unlock Attila the Viking. Then use Attila and collect 50 cupcakes. Once you get that 50, end the level and you will unlock Warthog automatically.

Captain of the Guard (Tangled): First, unlock Maximus from the gacha machine. Then play as Maximus and collect 50 red apples. This can be cumulatively, over the course of many games, or over one game. Then once you finish the stage, you will unlock Captain of the Guard.

Hippo (The Lion King): Unlock the Humble Beginnings set. This includes Simba, Nala, Rafiki and Zazu. Once you unlock them, you will unlock the Hippo.

About Evan Heisenberg

Evan Heisenberg named himself after a Breaking Bad character one time, and then got stuck with it. He’s a San Diego guy living in Tacoma, so he legitimately enjoys the cliche “long walks on the beach.” Aside from writing about mobile games, Evan is an aircraft hydraulic maintainer and maintenance instructor. He likes weightlifting, beer, dad jokes, the Padres and Chargers, and slightly-old luxury and exotic cars.
